Schoenherr Alpbach Summer School Scholarships for Czech and Slovak students
Date: 20 August - 4 September 2010
Place: Alpbach/Tyrol
The two scholarships for the Alpbach Summer School on European Integration sponsored by Central European law firm Schoenherr have been awarded to Tomas Bury and Vladimir Novak. Tomas Bury is a fourth year law student at the Charles University, Prague, while Vladimir Novak is in the first year of his Master’s in Law at Bratislava’s Comenius University. Both will receive a full scholarship to participate in this year’s Alpbach Summer School.
Schoenherr’s scholarships offer talented law students from Central and Eastern Europe the unique opportunity to attend the Alpbach Summer School on European Integration. This year 85 students from the region applied for the two available scholarships.
The Alpbach Summer School is designed to give students a basic understanding of the workings of the EC-EU, to equip them with the skills required to analyse socio-economic and legal issues of European integration and, more generally, to introduce them to a culture and practice of animated debate of contemporary problems facing European integration. The Summer School is recommended for students and young graduates of (commercial) law, business administration, economics and other social and political sciences.
