Roadmap 11

Events often have a tendency to sweep us along with them, to shape our lives, our work, our moods, our plans. It seems that such shaping by external events has been even more pronounced in recent times, with large-scale financial, economic and social issues dominating the headlines and threatening to overwhelm us. But the concept of "shape" has a flip side, one implying control, action and empowerment. In unpredictable times, a positive and proactive approach to shaping events towards desired outcomes is called for even more.   Shape is the central theme of roadmap 11, an annual Schoenherr publication which presents an overview from our lawyers of recent and upcoming legal development in our core practice areas, as well as critical insights and analyses of those developments. Events can be influenced, plans can be made, strategies can be developed. That is the message of the roadmap. The knowledge and expertise provided by the roadmap is intended to help readers take control of events and shape their future successfully. The illustrations in roadmap 11 are by Matthias Hauer, an Austrian photographer and cameraman with a wealth of experience in various visual media.
