Czech Republic / Slovakia: Schoenherr advises Mast-Jägermeister SE on the acquisition of Rémy Cointreau distribution subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

Schoenherr advised Mast-Jägermeister SE ("Jägermeister") on the acquisition of Rémy Cointreau's distribution subsidiaries in the Czech Republic (Rémy Cointreau Czech Republic s.r.o.) and Slovakia (REMY COINTREAU SLOVAKIA s. r. o.), from their French shareholders Rémy Cointreau S.A. and Rémy Cointreau Services SAS ("Rémy Cointreau"). The deal is subject to regulatory approvals.

Jägermeister, a family-owned company from Wolfenbüttel, has been creating the world's top-selling herbal liqueur for more than 80 years. The company is among the top 10 premium spirits brands worldwide in the definitive "Impact Top 100" list. Jägermeister spirit, a blend of 56 herbs, blossoms, roots and fruits, is currently distributed in 135 countries.

Rémy Cointreau, aFrench business group 70 % owned by the Hériard Dubreuil family, is known worldwide for the production of Rémy Martin cognac since 1724, but also produces rums, liqueurs and brandy. The group's portfolio includes 12 unique brands, such as the Rémy Martin and Louis XIII cognacs, and Cointreau liqueur. Rémy Cointreau's goal is to become the world leader in exceptional spirits. The group has distribution subsidiaries established in more than 180 countries.
