Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of a wide range of banking and finance transactions, including corporate lending, project finance, acquisition finance and syndicated loans
  • Draft, review and revise loan agreements, security documents and related finance documentation under supervision
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on banking regulations, financial services law and cross-border lending issues
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and assist in the preparation of due diligence reports for lenders and borrowers
  • Liaise with clients, counterparties and other external counsel in the coordination and closing of transactions
  • Support senior lawyers in transactional matters, including managing timelines and tracking documentation
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, legal developments and regulatory changes relevant to the banking and finance sector
  • Ensure all client work is carried out to the highest professional and ethical standards

 

Qualifications

  • Recently qualified lawyer or up to three years of post-qualification experience
  • Excellent command of both English and Hungarian (written and spoken)
  • Strong interest and/or professional experience in finance, capital markets or regulatory law
  • Dedication to the challenges of the profession and the ability to work independently and creatively
  • Experience studying or working in an international environment, knowledge of German and/or an LL.M. degree are advantages
