Schoenherr once again secured a #1 position in Mergermarket's annual league tables, which rank the world's leading M&A advisors by jurisdiction and region.
Schoenherr remains the top-ranked firm by deal count in Austria and placed third for total deal value. Across Central Eastern Europe (CEE), Schoenherr was recognised as one of the leading firms by deal count. For the first time, the firm also secured a top-20 ranking by deal value in MEA (Middle East and Africa).
Overall, Mergermarket's comprehensive market analysis credited Schoenherr with 98 deals across all qualifying regions, totalling a publicly disclosed deal value of EUR 37.6bln. With 44 transactions amounting to a total deal value of EUR 30.6bln, Schoenherr continues to lead the Austrian market by deal count in 2025. In Central Eastern Europe, Schoenherr advised on 55 qualifying deals, ranking among the region's leading firms.*
These excellent results follow Schoenherr's repeated recognition as Austria's M&A Legal Advisor of the Year at Mergermarket's annual European M&A Awards on 4 December 2025.
"Decades of expertise, together with our deep local roots and international team structure, are fundamental to Schoenherr's strength," said Roman Perner, co-head of the firm's Corporate/M&A practice. "They enable us to consistently deliver top-tier M&A advice, as this year's results once again demonstrate.
"Schoenherr is valued by clients for delivering seamless solutions across borders and disciplines," added practice co-head Alexandra Doytchinova. "Through their excellent collaboration, our people continue to set the benchmark for M&A advice locally and across the region.”
