Austria/CEE: Schoenherr boosts leadership by promoting new equity partners, contract partners, local partners and counsels

Schoenherr is further strengthening its leadership by promoting new equity partners, contract partners, local partners and counsels across the firm as of 1 February 2021.

Schoenherr is further strengthening its leadership by promoting new equity partners, contract partners, local partners and counsels across the firm as of 1 February 2021. With Arabella Eichinger, Christoph Moser, Andreas Natterer and Michael Woller, four internationally renowned experts from the Vienna office will join the ranks of equity partners, each of them showing an excellent track record in their specific areas of expertise. Marcin Aslanowicz (Poland), Bojan Brežan (Slovenia), Vid Kobe (Slovenia), and Maximilian Lang (Vienna) become contract partners after consistently achieving exceptional results over the past years. In Slovenia, Marko Frantar will become local partner. At counsel level Gregor Alexander Petric (Vienna), Manuel Ritt-Huemer (Vienna), Michal Lučivjanský (Slovakia), Teresa Waidmann (Vienna), and Gudrun Waniek (Vienna) move up the ranks.

Arabella Eichinger – Since joining Schoenherr in 2013, Arabella Eichinger has consistently extended her excellent track record in real estate transactions and construction law. As a widely renowned real estate lawyer she advises on national and international real estate projects and transactions, being a significant expert in residential and hotel transactions in Austria.

Christoph Moser – As already communicated in summer 2020 (more information), Christoph Moser further strengthens Schoenherr's capital markets practice. He is an internationally recognised leading capital markets law specialist in Austria and has an outstanding track record in both debt capital markets and equity capital markets.

Andreas Natterer – Andreas Natterer is one of Austria's leading experts in health care and life science matters, especially in food and pharma law. Further, he brings more than 25 years of experience in several areas of litigation, representing Austrian and international corporates both in and out of court.

Michael Woller – As a prominent expert for intellectual property (IP) law and co-head of the Schoenherr IP & Tech practice, Michael Woller regularly advises and represents national and international clients particularly in patent, trademark and unfair competition matters. He has a strong CEE focus and handles large international trademark portfolios as well as complex cross-border IP-projects.

Marcin Aslanowicz (Poland) – Heading Schoenherr's dispute resolution practice in Poland, Marcin Aslanowicz is a highly regarded lawyer on the Polish market and a key expert in Schoenherr's Warsaw office. He specialises in arbitration, as well as in civil law, commercial law and company law, representing clients in various disputes pending before Polish state courts, as well as Polish and international arbitration courts.

Bojan Brežan (Slovenia) – As Schoenherr Slovenia's managing partner, Bojan Brežan has made a name for himself as a transactions and dispute resolution lawyer. He specialises in corporate/m&a and real estate acquisitions and is widely recognised as a top litigator.   

Vid Kobe (Slovenia) – Vid Kobe is an experienced transaction lawyer who played a central role in establishing the Slovenian office's highly regarded corporate finance practice. He is recognised for his high-profile m&a and financing track record as well as his expertise in restructurings and distressed situations.

Maximilian Lang (Austria) – Maximilian Lang is a renowned specialist for m&a transactions and Austrian corporate law with more than 10 years of experience. His substantial experience in the field of mergers & acquisitions with major domestic and international clients most recently also led to a "Rising Star" recognition by international legal directory Legal 500.

Marko Frantar (Slovenia) – Since joining Schoenherr in 2013, Marko Frantar has built-up a strong transactional practice specialising in real estate, and has accumulated extensive experience advising on non-transactional matters (restructuring, regulatory, dispute resolution).

Teresa Waidmann (Vienna) – With outstanding labour law knowledge, Teresa Waidmann advises clients in various industries on all legal aspects of labour & employment law, including litigious matters, restructuring and transactions, compensation & benefits and international employment law.

Gudrun Waniek (Vienna) – After many years as attorney at law in the field of public law, and senior legal counsel as well as compliance officer at a large international company, Gudrun Waniek joined Schoenherr as compliance officer in 2017. She has comprehensive legal expertise in numerous areas of law and in particular extensive experience in implementing international compliance systems.
