Austria: Schoenherr gains transaction specialist Michael Magerl in expansion of its Linz office

"With Michael Magerl we welcome an experienced partner and excellent manager for our recently opened office in Linz. Michael is known for his professional expertise and many years of experience, including in the areas of transaction, banking and restructuring law, far beyond the borders of Upper Austria. Magerl, who worked as an attorney and partner in a renowned Austrian law firm in Linz since 2009, will be joined by associate Bettina Kranawetter.

"It is a unique opportunity to be able to drive forward the expansion of the relatively new Linz office of such a renowned, international law firm. Our strengthened team in Linz will further expand its position in the Upper Austrian market", says Michael Magerl.

In September the Schoenherr team in Linz will move into its new office premises at Herrenstraße 6.

Michael Magerl completed his legal studies at the University of Vienna and at Durham University in England (LLM "Commercial Law and International Trade"). Since 2004 he has worked for renowned law firms in Vienna and Linz. Most recently, Magerl was a partner and part of the management board of a law firm in Linz.

Bettina Kranawetter completed her legal studies at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz in 2017. Since then, she has been working as an associate with a law firm in Linz, focusing on banking and restructuring law as well as corporate and company law.
