Austria: Schoenherr supports Stadtwerke Klagenfurt AG in EIA declaration proceedings regarding Alpen-Adria swimming area in Klagenfurt

The proceedings before the BVwG were terminated following the withdrawal of the appeal, affirming the initial EIA decision and paving the way for Stadtwerke Klagenfurt AG to begin construction at the Südring site in Klagenfurt.

Schoenherr advised Stadtwerke Klagenfurt AG on all regulatory aspects of the project, especially the EIA declaration proceedings. The swimming area has been politically contentious in Klagenfurt for several years. In the EIA declaration proceedings, it has now been definitively established that no environmental impact assessment is required for the Alpen-Adria swimming complex.
