Bulgaria: Schoenherr advises on top Bulgarian dental distributor transaction involving Abris Capital Partners

Schoenherr advised the owner and CEO of Dentatechnica EOOD, the largest distributor of dental equipment and consumables in Bulgaria, on a transaction with Dentotal (Romania), a subsidiary of Abris Capital Partners. Subject to competition authorities' approval, Dentatechnica will become part of Dentotal Group with the aim of creating a regional leader through organic growth and further consolidation of local markets in Romania and Bulgaria.

Founded in 1991, Dentatechnica is the largest distributor of materials and digital equipment for the dental care market in Bulgaria, providing a comprehensive selection of high-quality products. The company has a strong track record for technological innovation in the Bulgarian dental market, delivering its products to more than 3,000 dental clinics and laboratories across the country. 

Abris Capital Partners is a leading Central European private equity investor with investment capital of almost EUR 1.3bln. Abris acquired Dentotal in 2019 from a family of Romanian entrepreneurs. 

Dentotal Group Holding Limited S.A. is a leading dental care distributor in Romania, with more than 12,000 clients – dental care clinics and laboratories in the whole country. The company was founded in 1994 and it grew with the first wave of Romanian economy, counting today more than 150 employees.
