Schoenherr, acting as Slovenian, Croatian, Hungarian and Polish counsel alongside McDermott Will & Schulte, advised Lauxera Capital Partners on its acquisition of an approximately 25 % stake, representing approximately 31 % of the voting rights, in genEplanet, osebna genetika, d.o.o. ("GenePlanet") from several shareholders. The strategic investment supports GenePlanet's global expansion in diagnostics.
Schoenherr provided a full scope of buy-side local counsel services, including comprehensive due diligence, support with transaction documentation and assistance with regulatory approvals. The transaction was signed on 7 July 2026 and closed on 24 July 2026.

GenePlanet is a Slovenian biotechnology and preventive healthcare company specialising in genetic testing, including NIPT, cancer screening and lifestyle DNA tests. Founded in 2008, the company operates in more than 35 countries and focuses on preventive and personalised healthcare solutions.
