The Romanian competition authority continues to be a very active antitrust enforcer. In recent years we have seen growing numbers of newly opened investigations across a wide range of sectors. To enhance findings of potentially incriminating evidence, dawn raids are used to kick off investigations. In-person dawn raids conducted by competition inspectors as well as written requests in the context of an investigation or sector inquiry occur without warning. Both these instances can put your company at risk if it is not prepared to handle them promptly and efficiently.
