Schoenherr appointed partner Dániel Gera as managing partner of Schoenherr Hungary, effective 1 April 2023. He takes over the role from Kinga Hetényi who has led the office in continuous growth for over a decade and will in the future focus on client relationship, lead in legal mandates and the training of the firm's next generation of lawyers.
"After 13 years as the managing partner in Budapest, I am happy to pass the baton to Dániel Gera who is an excellent lawyer and has a very successful track record in advising clients in a variety of legal fields including labour and employment, corporate M&A and compliance matters. He is a highly regarded and innovative partner with exceptional people management skills. Our office is on an upward trend that shows no signs of stopping and I am confident that the appointment of Dániel will further strengthen our position on the Hungarian market. I see this change as a natural evolution of our team, creating opportunity for growth also for promising younger lawyers in our office." – said Kinga Hetényi.
Alexander Popp, managing partner at Schoenherr added: "Dániel Gera has been contributing to the success and the progress of the firm for many years now. He has been instrumental in leading Schoenherr Hungary's labour and employment group to meet the evolving needs of our business and clients. Beyond that, he has excellent leadership skills and is invested in every team member's personal and professional growth along the way. I am happy to welcome him in this new role and wish him continued success."
Dániel joined Schoenherr in 2015 as attorney at law. He was promoted to counsel in 2018 and local partner in 2022. He has nearly 20 years of experience advising international and domestic clients in the fields of employment law in all relevant aspects, corporate law, M&A transactions and data protection. Dániel is a law graduate of Eötvös Loránd University (Dr. iur. 2004). He started his professional career in a Big Four associated law firm and later joined a French international law firm where he was a member of the corporate and M&A team. With this promotion Dániel will take on a stronger leadership position within the Schoenherr Hungary team to support the next stage of development but will also contribute to Schoenherr's growth in the region.
