Schoenherr establishes new international conference format across Central and Eastern Europe

Schoenherr, the elite law firm in CEE with a strong presence across 14 Central and Eastern European countries, successfully kicked off its inaugural CEE Compass conference on 16 May in Warsaw.

Key market players from across CEE convened for this full-day high-level conference bringing together 39 speakers and panellists. In the first edition of the "CEE Compass", cross-industry experts focused on "Going green: navigating trends and opportunities in CEE", covering pressing topics such as the investment landscape, industry-specific ESG practices, key levers for a net-zero pathway or sustainable financing. For a detailed overview of the 2024 speakers line-up and agenda, please visit our CEE Compass website and register here for 2025-related updates.

"With the successful inaugural edition of this new international conference format, we have once again shown that we are truly one firm, collaborating seamlessly across borders and industries," said Schoenherr Managing Partner Alexander Popp. "It was a pleasure seeing so many different high-level experts coming together in Warsaw to exchange ideas and discuss concrete opportunities and measures for the whole region."

"Poland was the ideal place to kick off this new conference format," Pawel Halwa, Managing Partner of Schoenherr Poland, added. "There is so much potential for growth and in- as well as outbound investment. You could really feel the positive energy in the room. I am proud that we could host this conference and I want to thank the whole cross-border organisational team for doing a fantastic job as well as all speakers and panellists for sharing invaluable insights."

After the conference day, Schoenherr people as well as conference participants, speakers and clients came together to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Schoenherr's Polish office. Last year, the Warsaw office doubled its size by hiring a team of 23 new lawyers (more information).
