Türkiye: Schoenherr advises MT Bilgi Teknolojileri A.Ş. on sale of majority stake to Castles Technology
Schoenherr advised MT Bilgi Teknolojileri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., a Turkish developer of secure payment and POS technologies, on the sale of a majority stake to Castles Technology, a global provider of payment acceptance solutions. The transaction marks a significant international investment into the Turkish fintech sector and forms part of Castles Technology's broader global growth strategy.
Schoenherr provided sell-side support across all Turkish legal aspects of the transaction.
Founded in 2009 and operating within a group structure, MT Bilgi Teknolojileri A.Ş. specialises in developing secure, IP-based payment and POS technologies used widely across the Turkish financial services market.
Castles Technology is a recognised specialist in secure and innovative Android-based payment terminals and services. By acquiring a majority stake in MT Bilgi Teknolojileri A.Ş., the company strengthens its technological capabilities and expands its footprint in a key regional market.
