Trade Secret Protection across CEE

The EU Trade Secret Directive 2016/943 ("TSD") had to be transposed into national laws by 8 June 2018 with the aim of harmonising the protection of trade secrets throughout the EU. While we reported about the TSD in previous editions of the roadmap, it is now time to sum up what national courts in "Schoenherr jurisdictions" have dealt with and ruled so far. Unsurprisingly, many decisions concerned the new definition of trade secrets and the protection of trade secrets in court proceedings. Here is an overview of the most important decisions (click on the marker to find out more about the decisions):

Austria: Dominik Hofmarcher
Bulgaria: Ventsislav Tomov
Croatia: Dina Vlahov Buhin, Doroteja Šturm
Czech Republic: Libuše Dočekalová, Stanislav Bednář, Natálie Dubská
Hungary: Márk Kovács, Bálint Szabó
Poland: Paulina Klimek-Woźniak
Slovakia: Michal Lučivjanský
