Schoenherr has a long history of working with local offices to advise Austrian and other foreign investors in Slovakia. In 2009 Schoenherr established its own office in Bratislava with the aim of improving and expanding its scope of work there. The team, which consists of lawyers with previous experience at international law firms, advises international and domestic businesses on their investments, m&a activities, restructurings, competition issues and real estate acquisitions and development.

CEE: Schoenherr advises Saint-Gobain on acquisition of Stachema's construction chemicals plants
Schoenherr advised Saint-Gobain, a leader in light and sustainable construction, on the acquisition of Stachema's construction chemicals plants specialising in concrete admixtures from DEK a.s. Saint-Gobain acquires certain operations in the Czech Republic, as well as entities in Slovakia, Poland and Ukraine. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026, pending regulatory approval.

CEE: Schoenherr advises Versute on equity investment in PRP
Schoenherr advised VERSUTE Private Equity Fund, a Czech investment fund managed by Versute Investments, on the acquisition of a minority share in the Slovakia-based PRP, s.r.o., a leading processor of coniferous timber in Slovakia.
